I discovered Pilates in 2001 as part of my dance training college program in Singapore.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT IT?
As a professional dancer, we are in perpetual search for ways to achieve an optimal performance level. Pilates is perfect for that! There is a great difference in how I perceive and move my body. I was less prone to injury and had more stamina during long performances. I literally learned how to breathe while dancing, thanks to Pilates!
WHY DID YOU BECOME AN INSTRUCTOR?
I simply fell in love with the method! I wanted to encourage more dancers to incorporate Pilates into their regular training. I also believe there is a hidden dancer in all of us and that we can all benefit by moving our bodies mindfully and elegantly.
